Continu\u00f3 trabajando durante seis ciclos de quimioterapia. Los conocidos efectos secundarios de la quimioterapia, como la fatiga y las n\u00e1useas, la obligaron a reducir dr\u00e1sticamente sus horas de trabajo. Como escribi\u00f3 Lindsey en su solicitud de subvenci\u00f3n: \u00abSolo gano dinero cuando puedo servir\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Menos horas significan menos dinero entrando y Lindsey ha agotado todos sus ahorros tratando de pagar sus facturas m\u00e9dicas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Se avecina una mastectom\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cuando Lindsey envi\u00f3 su solicitud de subvenci\u00f3n, se preparaba para someterse a una mastectom\u00eda seguida de una cirug\u00eda reconstructiva. Despu\u00e9s de la cirug\u00eda, tendr\u00e1 que dejar de trabajar durante al menos varias semanas, ya que no podr\u00e1 cargar bandejas pesadas. La perspectiva de perder todos sus ingresos la preocupa, ya que los ingresos de su prometido por s\u00ed solos no ser\u00e1n suficientes para cubrir sus facturas. En su solicitud de subvenci\u00f3n, nos dijo: \u00abSiempre me he enorgullecido de no dejar de pagar nunca, y tener que buscar alternativas para asegurarme de pagar todas mis facturas ha sido un estr\u00e9s a\u00f1adido en este momento ya de por s\u00ed estresante de mi vida\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Una subvenci\u00f3n a una persona muy meritoria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Al escribirnos, la enfermera coordinadora de Lindsey en el Instituto Oncol\u00f3gico Sharp Outpatient Pavilion la describi\u00f3 como &quot;muy merecedora&quot;. \u00a1Nosotros tambi\u00e9n lo creemos! Con la ayuda de nuestros donantes, pudimos aliviar parte de ese estr\u00e9s otorg\u00e1ndole a Lindsey una subvenci\u00f3n que la ayud\u00f3 a cubrir la factura del coche durante tres meses y a comprar comida mientras se recuperaba de la cirug\u00eda.
