Since her diagnosis, she has faced the daunting challenge of balancing treatment with caring for her family on an extremely limited income.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"659\" data-end=\"684\">The Weight of Worry<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"685\" data-end=\"977\">\u201cThe most concerning part of the whole process is the financial,\u201d Silvana explained. \u201cI\u2019m a single mom and rely on my work for income. My kids can see my worries, and I am the responsible one, so I don\u2019t like them to worry too. I have copays for chemo, and it is accumulating a lot for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1007\">One Less Thing to Fear<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1242\">Thanks to SOPFCA\u2019s supporters, Silvana received grocery gift cards to help ease the pressure. \u201cEven small things\u2014like using coins for laundry or my kids noticing how much food we use\u2014add stress.
