Comenz\u00f3 la quimioterapia en julio de 2014, seguida de radioterapia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subvenci\u00f3n que se utilizar\u00e1 para: <\/strong>Comida y gas<\/p>\n<p><strong>La historia de Tara: <\/strong>Tara es una persona creativa, espiritual y compasiva que cree tener un talento \u00fanico para sanar a los dem\u00e1s profundamente. Durante m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os, expres\u00f3 su creatividad como artista profesional y escen\u00f3grafa en San Diego. Vendi\u00f3 su arte en galer\u00edas e incluso dise\u00f1\u00f3 escenograf\u00edas que a\u00fan se utilizan.<\/p>\n<p>La exposici\u00f3n prolongada a los qu\u00edmicos de la pintura le pas\u00f3 factura, y Tara tuvo que abandonar su carrera por intoxicaci\u00f3n con metales pesados. Desde entonces, Tara ha tenido problemas de salud y ha gastado todos sus ahorros en desintoxicarse y recuperarse.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras intentaba recuperar su salud, Tara comenz\u00f3 a forjarse una nueva carrera como consejera espiritual y sanadora. Con frecuencia, la mala salud le ha impedido gestionar y hacer crecer su negocio. En 2013, una infecci\u00f3n bacteriana le afect\u00f3 el tracto digestivo y las gl\u00e1ndulas suprarrenales, dej\u00e1ndola exhausta y apenas capaz de dirigir su negocio. Justo cuando se recuperaba, descubri\u00f3 un tumor en la pared tor\u00e1cica.<\/p>\n<p>En marzo de 2014, le diagnosticaron c\u00e1ncer de mama en estadio II. Debido a la agresividad del c\u00e1ncer, se le administr\u00f3 tratamiento urgentemente, que incluy\u00f3 una mastectom\u00eda y reconstrucci\u00f3n el mismo d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando el caso de Tara lleg\u00f3 por primera vez a SOPC, se preparaba para comenzar la quimioterapia en el Hospital Scripps Memorial. Nos cuenta que tiene mucha suerte de tener una vivienda estable y contar con el apoyo de amigos cercanos. Sin embargo, le cuesta encontrar la energ\u00eda y la concentraci\u00f3n necesarias para su negocio y necesita ayuda financiera para comprar comida y la gasolina que necesita para acudir a sus numerosas citas m\u00e9dicas.<\/p>\n<p>Nos alegr\u00f3 mucho poder proporcionarle a Tara una beca para que no tuviera que preocuparse por la comida ni los gases al comenzar su tratamiento de quimioterapia. La \u00faltima vez que hablamos con Tara, estaba en plena quimioterapia. Nos dijo que, aunque no suele sentirse bien, sus m\u00e9dicos tienen muy buenas perspectivas sobre el progreso de su tratamiento.<\/p>\n<p>Tara est\u00e1 integrando terapias alternativas en su tratamiento para intentar controlar sus s\u00edntomas.
